Balsam of St. Thome. Pan Olaeo. Belam Pu. A balsam obtained from Santiriopsis balsamifera (Oliv.) Engl. (Fam. Burseraceae). It is a resinous juice obtained by incisions in the trunk of the tree. It is used as a vulnerary and in diseases of the bladder and bronchi. (Ap. Ztg., 1898.)
