Dissolve the phenol in the mixed oils.
This oil is used to lubricate catheters.

AROMATIC CASTOR OIL.
|Amyl Acetate||0.10|||||10 minims|
|Absolute Alcohol||5.00|||||1 fl. ounce|
|Castor Oil||to 100.00|||||to 20 fl. ounces|
Mix the amyl acetate and the gluside with the alcohol, and set aside until a clear solution is obtained, then add the castor oil. This preparation should be stored in filled and well-closed bottles.
Dose.—4 to 30 mils (I to 8 fluid drachms).
